Extended warranty and roadside assistance FAQ
Buying cover, claims, servicing, selling your car and roadside assistance. Transfer forms and the vehicle condition report are at the bottom of the page.
Buying cover
It's mechanical protection that helps cover the cost of repairing major components, like the engine, transmission and electrical systems, after your manufacturer warranty ends. Cover, eligibility, claim limits and exclusions depend on the product terms.
Absolute can be bought for a hybrid or electric vehicle, but it does not cover hybrid or electric vehicle components. Endurance covers only its 20 listed components, none of which are hybrid or electric parts. Total Cover includes the hybrid system and electric motor, and Total Cover Plus adds the electric motor battery (up to $5,000 per 12 months). The EV Warranty lists the battery and electric motor, with different component lists for hybrid and electric vehicles. Compare the product terms and decide which suits you; we give factual information only.
The warranty is issued by Integrity Car Care Pty Ltd (ABN 58 056 621 893, AFSL 247069). MyDriveShield helps you compare options, get a price and arrange your cover. Claims are assessed and paid by Integrity.
Yes. Private purchases are welcome. The warranty provider requires a Vehicle Condition Report from a licensed mechanic before a warranty for a privately purchased vehicle can be lodged. You can upload it at checkout, or pay first and we will help you arrange it before lodgement. Download the Vehicle Condition Report form to take to your mechanic. An inspection fee may apply.
It depends on the product. Absolute Warranty is priced by vehicle category, cover level and term. Endurance Warranty is a flat price for all makes, set by the option your vehicle qualifies for and the term. A $110 surcharge applies to 4WD and AWD vehicles. Roadside assistance starts from $88 a year. Get an instant online quote to see your exact price.
Your vehicle must be registered for and used on Australian roads and be within the age and kilometre limits of the cover level or option you choose. Endurance Option 1 has no age or kilometre limits. The online quote only shows the options your vehicle qualifies for, and cover is subject to the provider's acceptance.
Absolute Warranty is available for 1 to 5 years. Endurance Warranty is available for 1, 3 or 5 years. Roadside assistance can be added for the same term or bought on its own.
Warranties are not automatically renewed. Contact us before your cover ends and we will check what is available for your vehicle at that time.
You pay in full at checkout by card, processed by Stripe. Google Pay, Apple Pay and Klarna instalments may also be shown, depending on your device and eligibility. If you are financing your vehicle, some financiers can include a warranty in the loan. We can't advise on finance arrangements, so please speak to your financier.
Yes. Under the Integrity warranty terms you can cancel at any time by writing to Integrity at requests@integritywarranty.com.au. If you cancel within 30 days of purchase, or before your cover starts, and no claims have been paid, you receive a full refund. After that, the refund is pro-rata for the unexpired cover, less any accepted claims and a $62.50 administration fee.
Claims
No. There is no upfront excess. You are responsible for diagnosis costs unless they form part of an approved claim, and for any amount above the approved claim, for example if you choose to repair beyond the vehicle's previous condition.
Before any repair work starts, contact Integrity Claims on 03 9120 6666 or claims@integritywarranty.com.au. Integrity will direct you to an approved repairer, who diagnoses the fault and sends the details through. Claims are assessed within 24 hours of receiving all the required information, and approved repairs are paid directly to the repairer. Repairs carried out without prior approval are not covered.
Your warranty covers you anywhere in Australia. Contact Integrity before authorising any work and have the repairer call the Claims team. Integrity deals with the repairer directly and pays them, with no claim forms for you to fill in.
Integrity maintains an Australia-wide network of approved repairers that is regularly reviewed for workmanship, pricing and customer satisfaction. Contact Integrity Claims for the nearest approved repairer when you need one.
You can claim multiple times during the warranty term. Per-claim limits apply and vary by cover level or option. Your limits are shown in your quote and warranty documents.
Servicing
No. Any licensed mechanical workshop can service your vehicle. Keep every service invoice showing the date and odometer reading, because proof of servicing is needed when you claim. Download a service record log.
Follow the service schedule in your warranty terms. Absolute Warranty and Endurance Options 3 and 4 follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommended schedule. Endurance Options 1 and 2 must be serviced every 6 months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first. If a service is more than 30 days or 1,000 km overdue, whichever comes first, the warranty becomes inactive until it is reactivated with a satisfactory mechanical inspection report.
Selling your car
Yes, to a new private owner (dealers and traders do not qualify), as long as the transfer is requested within 7 days of the sale. You and the buyer complete the Warranty Transfer form and send it to Integrity with a Vehicle Condition Report from a licensed mechanical workshop, the service records and the $62.50 transfer fee. Transfers are handled directly by Integrity Car Care, not MyDriveShield: call Integrity on 03 9120 6666 or email admin@integritywarranty.com.au. A warranty cannot be moved to a different vehicle. See Transfers and forms below.
Roadside assistance
Yes. 24/7 emergency roadside assistance operates Australia-wide, covering towing, jumpstarts, flat tyres and emergency fuel. 3 Star includes 4 call-outs a year; 5 Star has unlimited call-outs, longer towing distances and lockout help. Cover starts two working days after payment.
Yes. Roadside assistance can be bought with a warranty or on its own, in 3 Star or 5 Star, for 1 to 5 years.
Advice
No. MyDriveShield provides general information about protection products and helps you get a quote. We don't provide personal financial or insurance advice. This information is an overview only. Cover, terms and eligibility are set out in the product documentation and are subject to the provider's approval.
